Civil Society Groups Celebrate Dr. Sami Charles’ Birthday, Urge Him to Return to Nigeria to Support National Development
Prominent civil society organizations (CSOs) in Nigeria, including youth and women groups, have celebrated international businessman Dr. Sami Charles on the occasion of his birthday.
But their tribute went beyond congratulations; the groups issued a strong call for Dr. Charles to return home and leverage his experience to contribute to Nigeria’s development during this challenging period.
In a statement, the Chartered Young Professionals Network (CYPN) described Dr. Charles as a role model whose achievements young Nigerians can emulate.
The statement read:
> “Dr. Sami Charles is a beacon of what Nigerians can achieve globally. His expertise and international connections are exactly what our economy needs right now. We urge him to return home and play a role in the country’s progress.”
CYPN also highlighted the challenges facing Nigerian youth, including unemployment, stressing the need for visionary leadership.
Similarly, Women of Integrity, an organization advocating for effective leadership, said Dr. Charles could serve as a guiding figure for women and young people if he participates in national development efforts. The group’s spokesperson said:
> “We celebrate Dr. Charles’ birthday, but we also remind him that the country needs proven leaders to support the community—not just through philanthropy, but by engaging in development initiatives that improve the lives of women and children.”
Additionally, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) noted that millions of young Nigerians view Dr. Charles as a leader capable of turning vision into action. The NYCN president said:
> “Young people need authentic leaders. We believe Dr. Charles can bring meaningful change. His birthday is an opportunity to remind him that countless youths are counting on his expertise.”
Other civil society groups and admirers also joined in celebrating Dr. Charles and reiterated their call for him to return to Nigeria to apply his experience toward national progress.
