Yawan cin gishiri da ake yi a Najeriya na zama barazana ga lafiyar jama’a, inda ya ke haddasa hawan jini, bugun zuciya da sauran cututtukan da ke da nasaba da jijiyoyi da jini.

A cewar Hukumar Lafiya ta Duniya (WHO), bai kamata manya su rika cin fiye da gram biyu na sinadarin sodium a rana ba — wanda ke daidai da gram 5 na gishiri. Sai dai rahotanni sun nuna cewa yawancin ’yan Najeriya na cin tsakanin gram 7 zuwa 9 a rana, wanda ya ninka shawarar WHO sau biyu.

Wannan matsakaicin adadi dai ya yi dai-dai da na sauran kasashen nahiyar Afrika ta Kudu da kuma ya dara na kasashen Birtaniya (7.5g) da Amurka (8.5g).

“Yawancin kayan abinci da ake sarrafawa a Najeriya na ɗauke da yawan sodium da ya wuce kima, kuma mafi akasari ba a bayyana hakan a jikin kwalayen su ba,” in ji shi.
